Are You Wasting the Person You Are?



“To wish you were someone else is to waste the person you are”

An energy healer named Carol Tuttle wrote a book called, “It’s Just my Nature.” She had found that people came to see her to ‘fix’ them, when what she thought they should be doing, was to accept who they are. She found that we all fit into 4 groups like a lot of the psychological groupings and she related them to the properties of Hydrogen, Oxygen, Nitrogen and Carbon. Of course we have all 4 in us but we lead from 1 or 2.

I have talked before about limiting beliefs that we have acquired in our early years. Those beliefs have come from our parents, culture, the church, significant life events, media and authority figures. If a parent was one type they may instil into us that we need to be like them, but in fact our authentic energy is to be the exact opposite. We may have grown up with the belief that it isn’t OK to be who we are. Only when we can accept that tug to be who we deeply feel we are, warts and all, can we feel peace around the person we show up as.
