“I seldom end up where I wanted to go, but almost always end up where I need to be.” Douglas Adams.
In the personal development/spiritual world, they talk of this as non-attachment. This means having a goal with expected timeframes, putting it out into the universe in the way of thought or spoken wave forms & then trusting that what you need will turn up in exactly the moment you need it. Do you remember the movie, “Under the Tuscan Sun.” The heroine said she wanted children in the house and a big family to be sitting around the dinner table. She of course was thinking the traditional family and her own children.
The family turned out to be a group of migrant workers working on her house who had nowhere to live. One of these workers was just a young lad who fell in love with a local girl so our heroine became like a mum and advocate for this young couple. Then a pregnant friend arrived from the States to be supported when she had her baby. The real estate agent who had sold her the house had become a friend, and he was the one who pointed out to her that her dream had in fact worked out. She was very happy with the outcome. Letting go of feeling like we have to be in control of every little detail, can be what helps the magic to come true.
Enjoy being part of the magic! Robyn
